Colonoscopy
Colonoscopy is the gold-standard procedure for colorectal cancer screening, polyp detection and removal, evaluation of chronic diarrhea or constipation, and assessment of inflammatory conditions such as colitis. A thin, flexible scope with a high-definition camera examines the entire colon, and polyps can be removed and biopsies taken during the same exam.
Upper Endoscopy
Upper endoscopy examines the esophagus, stomach, and duodenum to diagnose GERD complications, Barrett’s esophagus, gastritis, ulcers, celiac disease, and early stomach cancer. When both upper and lower evaluation are needed, endoscopy and colonoscopy can be performed in a single session.
Capsule Endoscopy
Capsule endoscopy visualizes the small intestine, an area standard scopes cannot fully reach. You swallow a small camera capsule that captures thousands of images as it travels through the digestive tract. We offer CapsoCam capsule endoscopy, which is ideal for evaluating obscure GI bleeding, unexplained iron deficiency, suspected Crohn’s disease, and complications of celiac disease. Intestinal Breath Testing
Hydrogen and methane breath testing is the leading non-invasive test for SIBO and carbohydrate malabsorption. After drinking a test solution, you collect breath samples at set intervals, and the pattern of gases reveals whether bacteria are fermenting carbohydrates in the small intestine. Patients can also order SIBO breath test kits for home collection.
Heidelberg Gastric pH Testing
Heidelberg pH testing measures stomach acid production. Low stomach acid (hypochlorhydria) is common and can cause symptoms that are often mistaken for excess acid. Please contact our office to check current availability of this test.
Anorectal Manometry and Biofeedback
Anorectal manometry (ARM) measures the function of the rectum and anal sphincter muscles to evaluate chronic constipation, fecal incontinence, and pelvic floor dysfunction. When indicated, ARM biofeedback helps retrain these muscles for more normal bowel function.
Rectal Expulsion Device (R.E.D.)
The Rectal Expulsion Device (R.E.D.) test is a simple office-based screening tool that helps identify defecation disorders that contribute to chronic constipation.

Which procedures do you perform?
We perform colonoscopy, upper endoscopy, capsule endoscopy, intestinal breath testing, anorectal manometry and biofeedback, and the R.E.D. test.
Will I be sedated for my procedure?
Colonoscopy and upper endoscopy are performed with sedation for comfort. Capsule endoscopy, breath testing, and manometry do not require sedation.
Can I have an endoscopy and colonoscopy on the same day?
Yes. When both upper and lower GI evaluation are needed, the procedures can usually be combined in a single session.
Does insurance cover technical services?
Although we are not contracted with insurance companies, our team checks your benefits for procedures such as endoscopy, colonoscopy, and breath testing and helps you use your coverage whenever possible.
How quickly will I recover?
Most patients return to normal activities within 24 hours. If you receive sedation, you will need someone to drive you home.
How do I prepare for capsule endoscopy?

When will I get my results?
